Taunton punters have got an extra race to look forward to on Thursday afternoon when they host their Festive Fun meeting and its not just any old race either.
The prestigious Peterborough Chase that was due to take place on Sunday Huntingdon was abandoned because of the weather and Taunton has been selected to stage this Class 1 Grade 2 race with a prize fund of £50k.
Entries for the Peterborough Chase that will be run at 2.45pm will be made on Tuesday and are expected to include some well known high class horses.
The gates will still open at 10.30am with the first of 8 races on the card due off at 12 noon.
