New Girls Football Club To Start

Exeter City Football Club’s Community Trust will be opening a new Girls Skills Centre in Taunton early next month, providing a wonderful opportunity for local players to come along and develop their skills.

As part of their Community Trust programme the League Two table toppers have linked up with King’s College in Taunton to run a weekly skills coaching session aimed at girls from Under 10 through to Under 14, school year 4-9 from September 2017.

The first session will take place on Wednesday October 11th with the Under 10’s running between 6-7pm, Under 12’s 7-8pm and Under 14’s 8-9pm.

This is a brand new and exciting  initiative and with interest in girl’s football at an all time is a great chance for young players to come along and try to develop their game to a higher level, working with highly qualified FA coaching staff.

Chris Heayns the Exeter City Community Trust Football Development and Taunton Skills Cetre Manager said: “This is a great chance for all girls playing football at any level to come along and develop their game alongside other likeminded girls in a friendly but well structured situation.”

Jamie Vittles, Head of Exeter City Community Trust Programme said: “This is part of our ongoing involvement in the Taunton community and is a great opportunity for girls playing football in the area.”
