A man was woken by an intruder while he slept on his sofa at a property on Townsend, Williton at around 11.55pm on Friday, 16th November.
The victim, aged in his 60s, was then assaulted by the offender who subsequently fled the house with a small amount of cash in the direction of Long Street.
Specialist crime scene investigators have examined the property while we’ve also carried out house to house enquiries.
The intruder is described as being of very slim build with a spotty complexion and was wearing a green hoody and a black woollen scarf.
DC Caroline Killer said: “This was a disturbing and unsettling incident for the victim who thankfully only sustained cuts and bruises.
