Annual Bra Run
9 September 2018 - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm| £10
The 13th Annual Bra Run welcomes bikers to join us for the annual ride through the Somerset Levels, Cheddar Gorge and and Glastonbury, all in aid of Breast Cancer Now.
This year we are extending the day to incorporate a fun day for all the family/friends with stands, food, music, raffles and other exhibits.
The Bra Run was started 2006 by Dave Ellis who lost a dear friend to breast cancer and wanted to help raise funds for Cancer Research. The event is a well organised ride with bikers dressing not just themselves in pink bras and Tutus, but also their bikes which is a sight to see on its own. We hold a competition for the best dressed bike and over the years, this has become a serious part of the day.
The event is not just to raise funds for the charity but also raise awareness for breast cancer. 5 years ago on the day after the annual Bra Run, i myself was in hospital being treated for breast cancer, which is why i help with some of the organisations.
The ride is open to any bike over 125cc and trikes. Registration is 08.30 and we leave at 10am. We have marshals along the full route and stop in Cheddar for a comfort break and a cuppa.
