Taunton Cider scoops Start-Up Business of the Year award

The Taunton Cider Company has won the prestigious Start-Up Business of the Year Awards in the Federation of Small Businesses South West Area finals.

The company now goes through to be considered for the National Finals.

The South West finals were held on Tuesday 20th February at the Somerset County Cricket Ground. Beating some exceptionally stiff competition, success was attributed to the impressive distribution gains and overall sales results in its first year as well as the fact that the company has revived this once iconic Somerset name.

Commenting, Crispin Reed, Director, said “This is a great honour and a real surprise given who we were up against. The entire team must take a bow for their dedication and exceptional hard work to get us to where we are in such a short space of time. This is another very important step in our mission to return this fabulous brand to its rightful place amongst the cider greats. We are very grateful to all those at the Federation of Small Businesses who voted for us.”
