Road closed in Monkton Heathfield after incident

A man has been injured today in Monkton Heathfield after a tipper truck has fallen on it’s side.

Emergency services are currently on the scene and Avon and Somerset Police have closed the road whilst recovery and investigations takes place.

The incident happened just before 9am this morning, January 16th between the Merry Monk and the Monkton Elm Garden centre on the A3259.

Traffic is being diverted via Bathpool.

The Buses of Somerset have said “Due to an RTA near Monkton Elm Service 21s are not able to serve the Garden Centre and will continue along Bridgwater Road and the A38”
