Taunton Soroptimist Swimathon 2019

Charity fun event taking place at Taunton Preparatory School Swimming Pool, Staplegrove Road, Taunton.

Teams of 6 swimmers swim 50 metres in relay for 53 minutes.

It isn’t a race but we do have over 20 trophies for such achievements as most laps swum, most money raised, most money/laps by a family team, most laps swum by a primary school team and also secondary school team plus many more.

Cost is £10 a team to enter, swimmers get sponsors and every swimmer gets a medal.

You really don’t have to be a good swimmer as you just have to be able to swim 50 metres in whatever stroke you like, be it breast-stroke, crawl or even doggie paddle.
