American Football Practice
1 April 2018 - 11:30 am - 2:30 pm
*Aim to arrive for 11.45 for a prompt start at 12:00*
Plenty to work on after Sundays pre-season – lets get to it!
We start promptly at 12 so you need to arrive earlier than this time to get kit out of the locker, put your boots on etc.
What you *must* bring:
– Studded boots (rugby boots are ideal) the ground is wet and slippy and trainers offer little to no protection from everyone else’s large studs!
– A mouth guard
– Clothing suitable for training in the prevailing weather – its pretty cold at the moment so layers are a good option!
– A water proof cover for your gear is also recommended (a bin liner will suffice!)
All players that have played football before (with the Wyverns or otherwise) *must* be registered with the British American Football Association (BAFA) to be eligible to participate. This is not our rule but BAFA’s and applies to all teams and relates to insurance for players and coaches alike.
The only exception to the above are rookies that are *completely new to the sport* and would like to give it a go. BAFA allows three “free” sessions before registration is required.
If you have attended three sessions (regular practise or “rookie” sessions) you must now register – contact us if you need help.
New recruits are still welcome – join us now to become a part of the family. No experience necessary.
New recruits please make yourself known to Head Coach JC or one of our many assistant coaches on the day (they can be easily identified by their above average good looks) – please turn up in good time.
