Witness appeal after man sustains head injury

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained a significant head wound following an assault in Ilminster.

A Police spokesperson commented, “The victim, a man in his 40s, was approached from behind and hit over the head with a weapon, possibly a metal bar. He sustained a large cut which required a number of stitches at hospital.”

The incident happened between 1.30am and 2pm on Saturday, 14 April.
