Residents of Taunton and beyond have been invited to make suggestions for their favourite landmark for the first Somerset Town edition of the well known family game.
It’s expected that The Museum, Brewhouse and The Orchard Shopping centre will make it on the board.
Some 7000 votes came in from the competition with over half of those voting for Taunton to win. To cast your suggestions send them by email to: taunton@winningmoves.co.uk or by traditional post to: MONOPOLY Taunton Edition, Winning Moves UK, 7 Praed Street, London W2 1NJ. Polls get underway from 00.01am on 6th April and close at 23.59pm on 23rd April (2017).
Gemma Nelmes of Taunton popped into the launch today at The Museum and commented, “I wish it was available now, I’m after a nice gift for a work colleague who is leaving today.”
Natasha Rebuck, Games Exec at WINNING MOVES UK commented, “Congratulations to Taunton for winning the race, very many of the landmarks in Taunton are extremely well known and loved. We will take all the suggestions on board and thank you to everyone who has joined in the MONOPOLY debate!”

The game will see around 30 leading Taunton landmarks replacing the famous MONOPOLY addresses like Mayfair and Park Lane. The game will be on sale later this year in October.
