Police who responded to a report of a burglary at a school in Monkton Heathfield arrested two teenage boys, thanks to a call from a witness at 12.20am on Friday 2 November.
Officers are grateful to the caller who reported that a number of people had gained access to the school. Police arrived within 10 minutes and found a window open and evidence that the property had been searched.
Two 17-year-old boys were arrested nearby at about 2.30am and remain in police custody at the time of writing.
