Are you a Musgrove Baby?

Midwives at Musgrove Park Hospital are encouraging people to share photos and stories of their babies born at the hospital as part of a new #MusgroveBabies campaign.

The campaign is being run by the hospital’s official charity, Love Musgrove. Over 175 midwives support the hospital’s maternity unit and look after 3,300 babies born every year.

Here are a few words from some very grateful patients: “Thank you very much to the caring team at Musgrove Park Hospital. You treated me with dignity and respect, involving me in all decisions. Thank you so much for delivering my daughter safely.”

“My birth team were amazing and both labours were perfect. The team and facilities are spot-on and I would recommend to anyone.”

Sallyann King, head of midwifery at Musgrove Park Hospital, said: “We are very proud of our maternity services so we’re launching this campaign to find out what impact #MusgroveBabies are having across Taunton, Somerset and beyond.”

“If you were born at Musgrove or had a child here, please send your photos in. Or, if your friends or family were born here encourage them to get involved and share their photos.”

Sallyann King said the hospital also wanted to hear people’s stories of the maternity unit and their experiences of its midwives.

“We want to know if your midwife has gone above and beyond to help with a Musgrove birth or if you were born on a significant day, like one of the Queen’s Jubilees or Christmas Day, or maybe you have had a set of twins born either side of the New Year, making one a year younger than the other or have had multiple generations of your family born here. Please let us know your stories.”

There are two ways to send your pictures and stories:

  • Post on your social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram) and use the hashtag #MusgroveBabies so they can find it.
  • Send them into the office at the following address: Fundraising Office, Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, TA1 5DA.

Please include the baby’s first name, year of birth and your address. By sending your pictures you are giving informed consent for MPH to share/display them as a collage in the hospital concourse area, but if you do not wish for MPH to share your photos on our social media please let them know.
