A local Taunton girl, Charlotte Evans 15, has been crowned Miss Prom Model UK 2017.
Charlotte won the Izzi Stockton Bridal Prom model competition in March, to represent Izzi Stockton at the Miss Prom Model UK final in Brighton, sponsored by Tiffany’s Designer Dresses.
At the National final, Charlotte was up against fourteen other year 11 girls from across the UK.
The judges were professional singer Joanne Bacon, Miss Brighton 2017 – Megan O’Hara, model Elle Harrison, Miss Supranational Scotland- Angel Collins and Nicky Payne Marketing Director from Tiffany’s Designer Dresses.
The girls had to take part in three fashion rounds before answering a question in front of the judges and an audience of over 200 people. The finalists also had to raise money for a local Brighton Charity.
Miss Brighton 2017 said “Charlotte was vibrant, dynamic and a charismatic contestant who stood out from the very beginning. Her personality was displayed in all of her looks and she spoke with confidence and charm in the interview round. Charlotte also demonstrated her kind heart in her fundraising attempts for a local Brighton Charity, and should be so proud of herself and the work she has put in. A superstar”.
Currently a student at Appleford School, Charlotte was shocked when she was announced as the winner. Charlotte said “I am so thrilled to have won Miss Prom Model UK 2017, and I can’t wait to tell everyone at my school. There’s 160 pupils at my school who all have learning difficulties including myself. A lot of these children have low self-confidence. I decided to enter this competition to show them that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it and believe in yourself. It’s really important for me to make everyone feel like a somebody”.
In her new role as Miss Prom Model UK 2017, Charlotte is the face of Tiffany’s Designer Dresses and will appear in their brochure and website. Charlotte will also model for them at the biggest bridal trade show in Harrogate, Yorkshire in September 2017.
