Willmott Dixon, one of the UK’s largest construction companies, recently held it’s Wales & The West Supply Chain Awards where Taunton Fabrications was nominated for three of the five awards presented on the night.
Nominations were received from employees of Willmott Dixon who have worked with suppliers and sub-contractors
who they feel deserve recognition for their outstanding work.
Taunton Fabrications was the winner of the “Product” award – this award is for a partner who demonstrates an obsession about quality of product, embraces innovation in systems and design processes, has an open and honest approach to realistic workloads and capabilities and produces a defect free product.
Commenting on the “Aurora” office development in central Bristol, where Taunton Fabrications provided an imposing seven flight feature staircase, Andrew Daniel of Willmott Dixon said that Taunton Fabrications provided
“an outstanding service in pre-construction” and “a defect free product and showpiece in the building that the client is immensely proud of”.
Taunton Fabrications Managing Director, Jason Rigby commented; “Willmott Dixon is an important client of ours, but with all our clients we aim to provide the highest level of service at all times. Project Aurora was particularly challenging and involved almost 100 pages of calculations, 300 hours of design, 350 drawings and 25 tonnes of steel. To have designed, manufactured and installed all of that work with zero defects is a credit to the skill and dedication of the staff we have in Taunton”
