Samurai swords and a quantity of class A drugs were seized during a warrant carried out by officers in Taunton this morning, Mon 30th.
The warrant, which was under the Misuse of Drugs Act, was executed at around 10am at a property in Horner Road.
The warrant came as a direct result of intelligence received from the local community.
Officers seized a quantity of suspected crack cocaine and cannabis, cash, knifes and Samurai swords and mobile phones.
Five people – two 36-year-old women, a 23-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy – were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
PC Steve Linton said: “We’re grateful for the information from the public which has led to these weapons and suspected drugs being taken off the streets.
“We want to work together with local communities to target those who supply drugs and will always act on information received.”
