Join in and raise a cuppa for NHS Big Tea

Love Musgrove is encouraging people across Somerset to ‘raise a cuppa’ and celebrate the NHS birthday on Friday 5th July.

TV’s Dr Ranj Singh and Casualty star Charles Venn were joined by NHS staff at St George’s Hospital in London to celebrate the launch of the NHS Big Tea campaign last week.

Thousands of tea parties are set to take place across the country as the nation comes together to mark the NHS birthday and raise money for NHS charities.

Now Love Musgrove, the hospital’s official charity, is calling on everyone who loves the NHS to get behind the campaign and host their own tea party with friends, family and colleagues. There are more than 250 NHS charities across the UK. Many of them focus on helping our hospitals do more, while others support mental health trusts, community health trusts and ambulance trusts.

In recent years, Love Musgrove has raised money to buy a brand new MRI scanner, equipment for a brand new radial lounge in the cardiology department, toys for children staying at Musgrove and much more.
