Two fire engines from Taunton were mobilised to reports of an electrical fire in the kitchen of a property in Galmington Close, Taunton at 08:06 this morning (Wednesday).
On arrival crews confirmed there was a small fire and got to work using a CO2 extinguisher to extinguish the fire.
Crews also used a hose reel jet and a thermal image camera to check for any hot spots.
Crews requested the attendance of western power to isolate the consumer feed into the property.
The fire emergency and support service vehicle was asked to attend the incident to help the family as they wont be able to go back into the property due to fire and smoke damage.
