A local aid group based in Taunton is celebrating this week after sending out a massive 300 shipments.
RAFT (Refugee Aid From Taunton) based in Canal Road are always after donations such as food, clothing, medicine and shoes so they can be distributed to refugees aroundthe world.
Grop leader Federica Smith-Roberts commented; “I never dreamt when I founded RAFT we would have achieved all that we have and this is down to all of your support whether through donations, spreading the word that many people locally and throughout the world need our help and of course the thousands of hours given in time by all of you to make this possible…many of whom I now have as friends.”
“This shipment is off to Anaya Aid in Cardiff and will head to Syria shortly, thanks to the brilliant loading by Greendays and Barry from StarWays-ManandVanHire.”
RAFT are open on Tues, Weds & Thurs 10am-3pm and Saturday 11am-4pm
