A worried dog owner has finally been reunited with her pet affter it was stolen some 18 months ago.
In January 2017 a sweet little dog called FIFI who is a 4 1/2 year old golden cocker spaniel bitch was stolen from Yalding in Kent. The owners put posters up, made posts all over social media & it was even featured on GMTV.
On Saturday the dog warden picked up a very scared golden cocker running free on the A30 near Chard in Somerset about 4kgs under weight with gingivitis and bad teeth. The dog was then takento the St Giles Animal Rescue Nr Taunton.
After trawling through social media they realised they may have found the owner.
A spokesperson for the rescue centre commented; “What a truly brilliant day we have had here at St. Giles. After 18 months of being apart we have managed to bring pet owner Kate and Fifi back together again. Kate has been frantically looking for her ever since. She had never stopped searching for her and has always hoped that one day a miracle would happen! Guess what it has! Everyone here at St.Giles is just so thrilled that Fifi has gone home. This is what makes rescue all worth while. Many tears of joy here and hopefully a glass of something later to celebrate!!!”
