Patients who feel they have received outstanding care from staff at Musgrove Park Hospital or across Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are being invited to nominate that someone for a special award.
Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust – who run Musgrove Park in Taunton and Somerset Partnership – the NHS provider of community and mental health services across Somerset will be holding a joint awards ceremony to celebrate the special achievements of staff.
Hayley Peters, chief nurse across both trusts, said: “The Our People Awards reflect the two trusts’ new joint vision and values which put patients, carers, the community and staff at the heart of everything we do. “We want to hear your experiences of outstanding care for the patient choice award which celebrates staff who went above and beyond in the care they provided. “The awards are the perfect way to say thank you to the person or team who looked after you.”

As well as the patient choice award, Musgrove and Somerset Partnership staff are nominating colleagues for a range of other awards. A panel of judges will shortlist nominees for each category. The shortlisted nominees will then be invited to a celebratory dinner at the Cooper Associates Cricket Ground in November where the winners will be announced.
