New for 2018, Charley Elizabeth Events is proud to present an exciting new event – Wellbeing & Superfood Festival, being held at Woodlands Castle Conference & Events Venue in Taunton, on Sunday 16th September.

The event has been founded by Charley Torr, business owner of an emerging and inspiring Somerset based business, Charley Elizabeth Events.

The festival will take place at the stunning Woodlands Castle venue, owned by Sir Benjamin Slade and located in Taunton. The venue is home to a charming 17th Century country house and beautiful garden pavilion overlooking lawns and woodland.

This festival aims to celebrate wellbeing and health foods promoting healthy holistic lifestyles for everyone. Visitors will be warmly welcomed with free entry to this superb inaugural event, which will run from 10am and close at 6pm.

There will be a talented selection of South West award-winning food suppliers serving up a feast at the festival including Japanese street food, a little Greek Food Truck, a pop-up gluten free café serving veggie, vegan and steak burgers and wraps, and a range of cakes including a superfood inspired beetroot and raw cacao brownies. Those Vegan Pizza Guys will be cooking up some delicious stone baked vegan pizzas; Styles Farmhouse will be serving their homemade quality West Country ice cream made with jersey milk and finally we will be joined by stylish, cool and contemporary bar ‘Unstabled’ who will be offering plant-based teas and cocktails with herbal infusions.

There will be a schedule of talks and fitness workshops including ‘A Talk on Reversing Diabetes’ by Allegra Nutrition, ‘Saying Goodbye to Arthritis’ by the superfood sellers at Inspired Wellbeing, ‘The Four Pillars of Holistic Health’ by the Sangha House in Taunton, and ‘Mindfulness for Busy People’ by The Changist. Other talks include ‘Using Colour for Health & Wellbeing’ delivered by the award-winning Dawn Scott – the colour guru’, ‘Detox your Life with your Breath’ delivered by transformational breath expert Julie Ann Horrox, ‘Burning out to Burning Bright’ by Bridging Minds Practitioner Ann McCluskey and ‘How to use Essential Oils to Address Physical & Emotional Needs’ with Waking up to Wellness.

The festival has an exciting line up of live music performances during the day at 12noon, 2pm and 4pm; featuring Sadie Horler an acoustic singer song writer from Devon, popular folk duo Jacob & Drinkwater, and Bruton based Abi Baker, a locally talented singer songwriter. Visitors will be able to relax outside on the lawn whilst listening to live performances on the house terrace.

There will be lots of lovely stalls for visitors to peruse including award winning local food producers, and health and wellbeing products and gifts for a those who wish to indulge in a spot of shopping. Visitors will be able to talk to nutrition and wellbeing experts for support and advice; and take advantage of a treatment on the day with one of our complementary therapists. There will be a tarot reader too if you think you are brave enough!

The festival will be a whole new world for locals living in Taunton and beyond to enjoy and engage with. Our wealth and range of over 60 exhibitors includes Nuffield Health & Fitness, organic natural food pop up shop Essentials Fairtrade Trading, local farm Stoneage Organics, Primrose Kitchen and their delicious range of superfood products, White Blossom Complementary Therapies, Taunton Kinesiology; double decker bus Resilience Voyage featuring an amazing exploration of mental riddles and puzzles, Artisan Florist Blooming Divine, and raw superfood inspired cakes and desserts from Liberty Loves and Calm & Kind. Plus, lots more!

Visitors will be able to join in with light hearted outdoor yoga and fitness on the lawn. At 11am Arianna of Grounded in Silence will be offering Anusara-Inspired yoga suitable for all levels & abilities. Later Luisia Skinner Personal Trainer and The Little Yoga Cabin will be offering yoga and fitness sessions on the lawn at 1pm and 3pm.

There will be sand craft art and lawn games including a coconut shy, hoopla and hook a duck for the children.
