A new care and support ‘Community Connect’ drop-in opens in Taunton next week.The drop-in will take place at ASDA in Taunton (TA1 2AN) every fortnight on a Tuesday between 9.30am to 12 noon – starting on Tuesday 6 June.
At the drop-in people can find information and advice on adult care and support options, as well as information about local services and community groups that can provide help.
No appointments are needed, just turn up for a chat with a member of the adult social care team, a local Community Agent or volunteer.
A spokesperson for Somerset County Council, said: “The drop-in is a really useful place for people to get quick advice on social care and information on support groups, social and leisure groups, health and wellbeing advice, care services, equipment options and volunteering opportunities in their local area. There is more going on in local communities than you might realise and some of it may be just what you need.”
