MP to host older generation fair

Rebecca Pow, MP’s Older Generation Fair on Saturday 26th August promises to be an action packed event offering something for everyone.

Being held at the County Cricket Ground 11am -2pm there will be a special focus on health and wellbeing, with a wide range of organisations on hand to give advice and offer tips and hints to ease life as we get older.

Amongst those exhibiting will be organisations offering suggestions for activities, hobbies and volunteering opportunities, including The National Trust, Berry’s Coaches, The Royal British Legion and Hestercombe Gardens.

Other organisations will offer care advice, ideas for equipment and gadgets for the elderly and there will be taster sessions and musical entertainment from the charming Rivertones.

“This is my 2nd Older Peoples Fair, building on the success of last year’s event which proved very popular” says Rebecca Pow. “There is no getting away from the fact that we are all getting older and the fitter and healthier we can stay and the more prepared we are as one as we get older, the better. I look
forward to welcoming everyone to the event!”

The Older Generation Fair is FREE and takes place at The Somerset County Cricket Ground in Taunton, on 26th August, 11am and 2pm. Parking is available close by.
