Taunton School is to host world-renowned Professor of Fertility Studies, Robert Winston next week at a free public lecture.
IVF Pioneer and Presenter of ‘Child of our Time’ Lord Winston is set to deliver a fascinating talk to over 600 guests on Monday, 13th March at 6pm, at Taunton School.
The talk, titled “Why bother with Science?” is set to be a captivating insight to his wealth of knowledge and experience.
The lecture is delivered under the School’s “John Rae Society”, the pseudonym for the Senior Scholar’s Society which was created in 2005. Mr John Rae was the longest serving Headmaster of Taunton School, and activities within this group are chosen to challenge the brightest pupils beyond their day to day curriculum.
Lee Glaser, Headmaster of Taunton School, said: “We are very excited to welcome such a prominent scientist to our school and we hope that it will inspire the next generation of science leaders in our community.”
This hugely popular event will largely benefit pupils at Taunton School with an interest in Science, and invited students from local schools and has already sold out.
