In just a few days Vivary Park will be transformed into a live music venue as thousands of fans descend on the popular park for three nights of live music concerts.
Paloma Faith, Billy Ocean and The Kaiser Chiefs are the three headline artists confirmed for Live in Somerset’s series of concerts.
Paloma Faith, who is on her UK tour, will kick-off the star-studded live music event on Friday 13th July, whilst Billy Ocean and his special guests – Hot Chocolate; The Real Thing; and S Club Party – will entertain guests on Saturday 14th July. The Kaiser Chiefs, who are ‘excited’ to perform in Taunton, will take to the stage on Sunday 15th July, and will be joined by special guests Victoria and Himalayas, an indie/garage rock band from Cardiff.
Claire Kidger of LCC Live, the concert promoter delivering Live in Somerset’s series of concerts, said; “Excitement is building in Taunton ahead of Live in Somerset, which will offer three evenings of live music concerts from an eclectic mix of artists. With just days to go until the shows, we’re delighted to be back in Vivary Park transforming it into an outdoor music arena.
“We’ve had a fantastic response to each of the shows, and due to production adjustments, we do have a small remainder of tickets available to see Paloma Faith, Billy Ocean and the Kaiser Chiefs. For those who have got a ticket to Live in Somerset, the shows are going to be great; and for those of you who don’t, you’d best be quick as tickets continue to sell well.”
Claire added: “We would encourage concert-goers to allow plenty of time to get parked in Taunton town centre and to get through security before the shows start. There will be food and drink facilities within the concert arena.”
Councillor Mark Edwards, Taunton Deane Borough Council’s events champion, said: “It’s a truly sensational line up of artists giving local people and visitors the chance to see these acts on their doorstep and making Taunton the destination for music lovers this summer.
“Vivary Park will make a glorious setting – and the weather forecast is looking good. I hope that everyone has a brilliant time and sees that Taunton can really host the best concerts!”
