Hydrographic Office submits planning application

The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) has submitted a planning application to Taunton Deane Borough Council for its new office accommodation.

The new modern and environmentally friendly office building will help the UKHO to meet its future needs and will replace existing buildings that are inefficient and expensive to maintain. These will be demolished once the organisation moves in to its new office in 2019. Land at the front of the current Admiralty Way site will also be sold for redevelopment and outline planning permission is being sought for a residential development on this land.

All costs associated with the new office will be met by the UKHO from business receipts as a self-funding agency.
