Generous Donation made to Children’s Unit

Parents will now be able to stay overnight in comfort at Musgrove Park’s children’s unit thanks to a kind £1,200 donation by Taunton’s Mountway School of Dancing.

The money will be spent on a set of sofa beds for the unit.

Verity Teal, principal at the Mountway School of Dancing, said: “We are a local dancing school in Taunton and almost 300 of our children took part in a huge show, which we do every two years, and we raised £1,200 from a raffle and programme sales to buy sofas for Musgrove Park’s children’s unit.”

Suzanne Pilkington, matron at Musgrove Park Hospital’s children’s unit, said: “We are so grateful for this generous donation and we are spending the money on making sure that parents and children are able to be together during their son or daughter’s inpatient stay by purchasing sofa beds so they can sleep alongside their children.”
