A 16-year-old girl who was involved in a serious road traffic collision in Taunton last night has died. She was one of two female teenagers injured in the incident on Greenway Road at about 9.15pm.
Both girls were taken to Musgrove Park Hospital but one of them sadly died this morning. The other girl sustained a serious arm injury.
The driver of the car – a man in his 20’s – was arrested shortly after the incident and remains in police custody. He has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries.
