Charity quiz & supper evening raises £450

One hundred and twenty-eight people challenged their general knowledge last Friday (September 13, 2019) to help raise funds for two charities during a quiz evening at a farm shop nr Taunton.

The Charity Quiz & Supper Evening in aid of League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital and Compass Disability Services was held at Rumwell Farm Shop and raised £450.

Anne Mitchell, Joint Owner of the farm shop said: “This was our third and final quiz night of the year. We raised the money from entry fees for the quiz and also by hosting a raffle. We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who came along. The money will be split between our two charities of the year both based in Taunton, League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital and Compass Disability Services.”

“Our Charity Quiz & Supper Evenings have proven very popular with our customers over the past few years and they are a great chance for families, friends and work colleagues to get together for some healthy competition.”

“The winning team this time was ‘Fast and Furious’ – the Meredith family. Each team member got to take home a hamper and also the Rumwell Cup.”
