A Carnival Princess is Crowned!

The search for a Carnival Princess reaches its finale

Elsa Whitworth was crowned this year’s Carnival Princess last night, as the search for Taunton Carnival’s Princess came to an end.

Elsa, 9, attends Trull Primary School and said ‘being the Carnival Princess will be an amazing experience which I would cherish forever’. She told Tone FM’s Verity Powell that the most important thing about being a good Carnival Princess was to ‘smile lots’.

The runners up of this year’s competition were Charlotte and Mya.

The Carnival Princess will lead the procession, with Miss Taunton, on Saturday 15th October.
