A fire engine from Taunton attended an incident just before 1pm today, Oct 25th where a car was on fire underneath the motorway flyover at Toneway in Taunton.
The crews used 2 breathing apparatus wearers and 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
A spokesperson commented; “We used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire was completely out before assisting the Police to remove the vehicle from the highway.”
Traffic was affected with delays in al directions and was queued back to Thornfalcon.
The incident was made clear within the hour.
