Appeal after vehicles damaged in Taunton

Police are appealing for help to identify a man who they believe may be able to help their enquiries following vandalism in Taunton.

Seven vehicles were damaged, with windows smashed and wing mirrors broken off, at around 3am on Saturday 5th May in the Enmore Road / Wellsprings area.

Five vehicles were damaged in Enmore Road, one in Cheddon Road, a window was smashed in Wellsprings Road and a moped was stolen and set alight in Wellsprings.

Witnesses have described seeing four people walking down the road at around that time and we’re keen for them to come forward.

PC 2270 Stephen Linton said: “We’ve carried out house to house and CCTV enquiries in the area but are keen to hear from anyone else who could help. We’re grateful to the witnesses who have given us information, but I’d always urge people who see offences like this to report them straight away by calling 999.”
