The incident took place on Belvedere Road on Monday evening (4/7) between 10.30pm – 10.50pm.
A moped collided with a parked red Peugeot 306 on Belvedere Road before driving off.
The driver of the car then drove after the moped and confronted the rider.
The driver of the Peugeot was then assaulted by the motorcyclist who punched him several times to the head before driving off.
The motorcyclist is described as a white male, between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall wearing a long green coat and grey jeans.
The bike had a pillion passenger and he is described as white, approximately 5ft 8ins tall wearing a red and black helmet.
The motorbike is described as black with ‘L’ plates and a possible partial licence plate of ‘WA60’.
