Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man in his fifties was robbed in Taunton.
The incident was only reported to the Police on Sunday 23rd September, and the victim cannot remember the exact date but believes it was within the past month.
The man told officers he had been drinking and was sitting on a bench in Victoria Park during the hours of darkness when he was struck in the head and had his wallet and phone taken by a group of six or seven people.
He attended Musgrove Park Hospital for treatment to a minor head injury.
The wallet contained an amount of foreign currency, and police are keen to hear from anyone who has had Philippine Pesos offered for exchange.
