Infrastructure Engineering Department Volunteer Open Day

Open day / gathering for all IE staff members and anyone interested in volunteering for the department. We are looking for volunteers interested in working outdoors, tidying the lineside, strimming, brushcutting, track work and also, any carpenters and painters to help maintain our buildings and station furniture. Open to anyone aged 16+.
Come and meet the teams that make up the department, see some of the work that goes on behind the scenes, and enjoy a coffee and cake with us!
Both days will have the same programme – tea, short presentations and a chance to talk to the teams. The Cutting Back gang and Track (Permanent Way) volunteers will be there on Sunday 22nd. On 23rd the Signal and Telegraph gang, Restoration and Maintenance squad and our full-time track gang will be on hand to have a chat about their work.
It is also an opportunity for us to officially open Blackmore House, our new volunteer facility at Bishops Lydeard, near Taunton. If you are interested in attending, let us know with a Facebook message or email ieadmin@wsrail.net
